Owners of a service company for 11 years are now sadly counting the days until it all ends. The company has been operating under the manufacturer's warranty repair service as a third party contractor. They have been subject to continuous financial abuse. All contractor parties are required to sign a NET 30-day payment contract to continue business, which is reasonable. As usual, the contract and the small business owners are being taken advantage of financially. Corporations seem to always submit payment when they want, regardless of the contract agreement of NET 30 days. Do they care about these families involved? Are they going broke? Should we worry about certain sectors possibly having an economic collapse?
It's the everyday struggle every person is experiencing. At least the so called 99%.....
I myself am trying to avoid being categorizes as any percent by ignoring most news media, but that proves impossible.
We always get personal news that these corporations payments can go 30-90 days late! The collection process could be initiated but that immediately terminates contracts in the eyes of the corporation.
Repeat late notices are not effective! So what is a small business to do under the mercy of corporations?
So far, absolutely nothing!
Is this the world we live in? Until corporate control is regulated or some kind of safeguards are in place to protect very small business contractors from wrongful financial abuse, contract business owners can do nothing but wait for that check. The most famous words heard from business owners, since I was a kid, "the check is in the mail"!
We would like to hear opinions from anyone experiencing similar corporate issues and suggestions on what to do. This should make for some good discussions for some helpful small business advice!
